POL 620: Yasar was great! if you love sports then I would highly recommend taking his class as he is super knowledgeable and wise. Only four assignments, lecture is not mandatory, had an additional participation day which was mandatory. He was kind and understanding, easy to reach. In general just a really good guy. I would definitely recommend.
Don't know why he has such low ratings! He was great for violence in society. You could tell he remembers what it's like to be a student because he's very understanding and accommodating. Marks fairly and the course isn't too heavy at all. Lectures are a bit long but overall the course is super easy with him
Really nice guy passionate about his lectures and actually cares about what he's teaching. He has a bit of an accent and his voice can be quiet so sometimes it can be hard to understand him, but most of the time it isn't an issue only 1 essay the 2 exams and participation and lab attendance. lectures weren't mandatory. Nice guy would take him again
he rambles a bit in his lecture and takes up a lot of time but it's overall not a bad class. i did not do that good in the class because i didn't have time to study thoroughly for the exams. you do need to write a lot for the exam tho. however, he's better than a lot of profs in the political science program.
Nice and charismatic professor, but damn it's hard to understand him sometimes. Apart from the occasional rambling which may or may not be relevant to the course material, he talks quietly and tends to mumble or trail off in his sentences. Even sitting at the front I could barely hear him, and he struggled to conduct in-class discussions.
lectures are not engaging at all, very monotone. he is a very hard marker and considers 70s to be A's, when they are not even close. even speaking in every single lecture, he gives very low participation marks. honestly felt like he had no idea what he was even doing as he was confused half the time. would NEVER take him again.
He makes an effort, he's nice. Classes are relevant. His exam expectations are so clear. I highly recommend
Could never hear what he said, very monotonous and gives no feedback
Taught CRM 310 Advanced Qualitative Research. The first class had questions like "What is research" and "What is an interview". Content could be self-taught with common knowledge. Even with a mic, you could never tell what he was saying, very monotone and quiet. By week 3 more than half the class stopped going as it was a waste of time.
Only he talked nonsense and no student participated in any discussion.
