I was a bit worried from the ratings at first, but I had her this semester and I actually quite enjoyed it! She was nice and very knowledgeable. The class average for the final test was high, but she did mention that she had to submit many essays to academic integrity. Be sure to not use AI as she states that she does not condone it consistently!
Was excited about this class until the professor started to be extremely rude to students and unfairly marked assignments. She sends the majority of peoples papers to the office of academic integrity with zero empathy and seems to want to find people guilty even if they obviously aren't. Be prepared to fail this class for absolutely no reason.
I honestly liked having Sandra for both FNP100 and FNU101. She's a fair grader with fair exams, and I've never heard any "rude" comments from her unless someone's doing something dumb like talking during class or walking into class very late when she makes it very clear she doesn't like that. Go to class, read the readings, and you'll do well.
Unbelievable, just a heads up to everyone, don't ever take classes with this professor. I took this class because I needed an elective, but she's doing too much. This is supposed to be an easy class, and she sent in almost everyone's assignment to the Office of Academic Integrity. The course I took was FNU101, which I don't recommend.
extremely rude and disrespectful to students. she should not be talking to anyone that way let alone her students. class ran late one time and people were missing their trains home and one student said it wasn't fair and she said "aww thats too bad, well life isn't fair is it" in a very demeaning tone. she should honestly be fired.
The assignment was worth 40% in my term, and the marking was very harsh, in my opinion. As others have said, I found her rude in the lecture when talking to students. She reads right off the slides. Do your textbook readings and focus on the assignment to get a passing grade.
If you have this professor, I suggest finding a different one. She is rude, uninterested, and very passive aggressive towards students. She answers questions as if you are dumb and should already know the answer. Her email responses only consist of referring back to the syllabus. I DO NOT suggest taking this professor.
worst prof ever super rude in real life and her email responses, seems like she hates her job or doing it just cuz she has to, 0 effort put into the course, dont even bother going to class it will be an actual waste of time, reads off slide, slides 0 info just pics, exam/midterm not too bad but THE 40% ASSIGNMENT the grading was horrible + unfair
I was honestly so excited for this course and then unfortunately all my excitement gone. The professor does not really teach with passion and she mostly reads from the slides. Also if you don't show up to any of the classes you will be fine, just study the assigned reading from the book. Besides, the mark distribution is so brutal.
Part 2: Do the readings, and your assignments: don't bother showing up to class it will be a waste of your time. She's an easy marker but not at all engaging. Ridiculous content that does not help you on your dietetics career.
