most of the comments here are unfair. yes, his video lectures suck but he does a good job while teaching in person.
A lot of typos in his slides and lacking teaching skills.
Constantly makes mistakes in his lectures, he clearly doesn't even know about the content he is teaching. One of the worst lecturers I have ever experienced.
Unprepared, confused and confusing.
He seems like a nice person and you can tell he wants his students to do well and that he cares for them. However, his lectures are very confusing and the slides are no help either.
I'd say he is competent in his field, but he definitely needs to improve his teaching skills. He's definitely approachable, and he answers all the questions as much as he can. I have never witnessed him skipping any questions nor have I seen him saying "we'll talk about this later"
Prof Onur is definitely new at teaching, there is so many mistakes in his lectures and teachings that i can find them in O(1) time. When it comes to difficult concepts, a student is correcting him and if no one can answer, he just says "we'll skip this for now". I can say is that beyond all this, he cares for his students
I think he's a good lecturer. He always responds to emails in a timely manner, and answers whatever question I have. It is true that the slides contain some typos here and there, but they are not very essential. He gives real-world examples to make the very abstract concepts more understandable. I think he is a good instructor.
I think hes learning the topic as hes teaching it. Really confusing (and confused) lecturer. Slides are full of typos.
