He is passionate and makes sure everyone participates in class, but his grading may be a little tough. I didn't like the class, but more because of the topics rather than the professor. I heard this class is an easy A with a different prof, I wouldn't recommend taking the class unless you are actually interested in diversity and inclusion.
I've taken 2 classes with Afif and he's great. His lectures are mostly discussion based, and your attendance comes from in-class participation. This course in itself is very easy and common sense, so it's easy to follow along and he only has 2 midterms and a group project which is super light. Midterms are open book as well. Easy A course.
Attend class and it should be super straightforward. You're allowed to bring cheat sheets to exam, so you just need to go to class to understand how he applies the concepts.
This was my second class with Dr. Nassif, he is great. The lectures were always concise and covered the relevant content. Study using the textbook and you will be golden. The exams were extremely straightforward and tested knowledge.
Concise lectures and tests exactly what he taught in class. As long as you pay attention in lectures or make the effort to learn the content, you will do well. Did not provide the most instructions for the group project, but the assignment is fairly easy enough to complete compared to other classes.
Afif is a really solid professor. Teaches quite thoroughly and bases his exams on exactly what is taught in class, so exams are very fair.
I don't understand the 1 star reviews. I've had profs who read few sentences off slides and call it a day. But Afif is very willing to share his knowledge and is passionate about his field and students. Business school is lucky to have him. I've seen other profs who happily take their salary and don't care at all about their students' success.
Tough grader! get ready to read
Does not really care for his students. More interested in himself speak. Very rude in emails. Also tough grader!
