Professor Collins is really understanding and accommodating, just reach out if you have things going on that can impact your learning. There isn't a textbook but there are weekly readings that are easy to fall behind on. Attend lecture as best as you can because alot of stuff is said that may not be on slides. Final exam was online
Tara is a kind professor and aims to make each of her classes meaningful. This course was heavily based on shaking the movers and facilitating it. This course was not very demanding, but I feel it did not really teach a lot about the concept of group work.
Tara is well-versed in the subject of children's rights. Although this class is usually large she is able to make it engaging. The course is reading heavy but manageable. She does care about her students, but the course is content heavy and very policy involved.
Very lovely professor. However, there are some changes that are made when the course has already begun, which can be seen as disorganized. Very accommodating and understanding though.
For an online class, this prof was the worst. Assignment instructions were such a mess and unclear. She would literally change a requirement midway till the due date?? And have requirements in different places making it so unorganized. Readings were not important imo, skim it. Answer some discussion questions. Class topic is very redundant.
Great Professor, and very knowledgeable. Lots of papers and extra literature to read. Find a group to work with right away, split your reading, and share notes. Not all notes are helpful by the assigned note takers. If you have a small group tp work with you will do great.
Collins is exceptionally passionate about children's rights. She was enthusiastic and listened to the feedback of the class. The assignments were straightforward and overall, I enjoyed the course.
