Joshua is one of the best professors I have encountered at TMU, including in my main core courses. I would definitely take any of his classes; he makes it wonderful to understand the content and truly cares for his students. Joshua, for an amazing course! Midterm and final exams were via online, and he had some classes online.
Very nice professor! There were a lot of readings, but the professor was reasonable. As long as you try your best and involve in the class discussion, you will be fine. I found that this course is not about teaching but thinking. He was not trying to force us to take any ideas or thoughts but to give us space to think and express our own.
Dr. Price is a nice person, but avoid him as a prof. The syllabus was messy, lectures were only quotes, which just sparked debates with classmates, rather than learning about the course. For our 35% paper, the outline provided was made by a student from a Q&A session, as he didn't have one himself. Stay away from him to save your money & time.
I'll be honest, he's a nice guy but he's not it for this class. The class is very poorly run and we barely have a proper guideline to work with in regards to a Course Outline or even a properly organized D2L. Given the majority of students are taking this class as an Upper Liberal, I would recommend you avoid this course for the time being.
Do not take this class if you like to be organized and structured. The course outline is a mess, it has none of the important dates for midterms and assignments, I leave class without learning anything, He cancels class 10 minutes after class starts; Also good luck getting a response from an email.
He is a great professor, however, the contact that he taught was not really related to the name of the course but I would take a class with him again
Such a friendly and caring professor! I was worried that this course would be a strenuous one, but in reality, that wasn't the case at all! The exams are worth a lot, but honestly, as someone who didn't do any of the readings I did well on them. He also is very understanding. As long as you make an effort you'll be fine
Josh is a great prof. He's honestly such an accommodating and chill prof. He's open to feedback and is willing to make changes to best suit students. His lectures are less structured and more discussion based. If you prefer profs that stick to a slideshow you might not enjoy his teaching style. Exams were online and not hard if u do the readings.
The only downside is that sometimes readings are kind of long, but he makes up for it with really engaging class discussions.
Easy to do well if you put in the work. There's also an opportunity for easy marks from surveys and class participation etc.. If you like an engaging and discussion based lectures, you will appreciate his method of teaching. If you prefer more structure and reading from a PPT, you may find it overwhelming. There were a lot of readings and quizzes.
