Jolene Hunt

Unclear and unprofessional. Did not even post assignment outlines for her assignments. Her lectures go til the full three hours. Heavy on participation and speaking aloud in class. There would be private discussions between her and other individuals in front of the whole class. final grades were not even posted until the last day.

Teaching style is unbearable, will waste a 3 hour lecture droning on about nothing; she once spent fifteen minutes explaining that getting erroneous emails is not a good use of her time, thereby wasting our time. I'm halfway thru the sem, no idea what we're learning, and there's an exam. Tells you no questions r stupid, but makes you feel stupid.

Not sure why others had a negative perception of Jolene and her course content. I had nothing but a positive experience. Jolene's lectures felt very intuitive and encouraged participation, rather than read off a book. Jolene herself is very kind and understanding and is willing to help with any problems students are facing. She is a great prof.

I attended two lectures, she's all over the place she takes things on and off of D2L i dont get it. I find economics interesting so it sucks to see her being so inconsistent as our money is going towards learning something i mean it doesnt have to be much but i still expect something that keeps me engaged. She rambles a lot.

Don't waste your time with this prof. There was an essay and presentation, but she didnt teach us anything or give clear instructions. The midterm and final questions were random and unrelated to the limited course content. She also doesn't reply to emails, so you'll be left trying to figure everything out on your own.

I hope I can save at least one student from taking this class. The most unorganized class I've taken at Ryerson. All lectures have been utterly useless. Questions on the midterm came from nowhere. All lectures abt writing an essay not course content. Expects us to write a term paper with no lectures on course related content. Good to know ECN504.
