While i found the course content interesting, i really did not enjoy the way dr Terzopoulos teaches. she goes off topic easily and way too often and she was very disorganized. She seems like a nice lady in person, but i have never received a ruder email response from a professor before. i would avoid if possible!
Really sweet prof. Very clear that she cares about what she does and wants everyone to succeed. Pretty knowledgeable, but her feedback often seems very personal. She really made multicam fun and made the 6 hours fairly enjoyable
Tatyana made the class very interactive and had a lot of great discussions regarding children's programming. She also invited some guests who had good experience with the industry.
I was really looking forward to taking Children's Programming, but I've found Tatyana's grading to be quite strict, often focusing on small details. When I've tried to book office hours or reach out via email to better understand her comments—which sometimes seem a bit harsh—I haven't heard back.
I learned so much in RTA 956 expanding beyond just children's programming, and this is because of the way Dr. Tatyana taught this class. She prioritizes student engagement and fosters an environment where students can give their opinion and thoughts on the subject matter. She cares so much about this class, and it shows. Highly recommend.
I took her class during covid so take my advice with a grain of salt. She was super kind and her lectures were actually really interesting. You can tell she cares about what she's does. I personally really enjoyed her class. She also helped out with my intro to Multicam class and I thought she was BY FAR the most approachable teacher.
The class is terrible. RTA 102 - worst class by far. Tatyana is inspired and really excited to teach which is good, but considering this class is an introductory course and honestly has no real point to it, she marks very tough. I never personally tried to email her - heard from other students that they would never get replies even after a few days
Tatyana is awesome! It is really refreshing to have new profs because when you land on good ones, they are excited to teach. I would have loved fewer group projects or the groups to switch around. Tatyana is extremely kind and understanding, you can tell she cares about media creation and I would absolutely take another course with her.
Tatyana is clearly a kind and caring person who wants the best for her students and is looking forward to teaching IRL. I'd be friends with her tbh. I'd like to have her again in a course that is less dumb though. Ask ANY RTA STUDENT... 102 IS POINTLESS! Half the assignments make 0 sense. It's not her fault though, she didn't mandate the course.
