I saw a lot of reviews online about this professor, whether on Reddit or right here on RateMyProfessors, so I was nervous, but I stayed in his class and took the chance. It was the best choice ever. He is one of the best professors I have ever had. Truly caring, enthusiastic, and fair. Do the homework, read the book, participate, and ask questions
Pretty avg prof. To succeed in this class is by doing the textbook questions in the course outline. You can find past test questions which he recycles on the midterms. Overall he was pretty boring as he spent most of the lecture going over a question or two from the HW and to see your grades, you have to attend class as it doesnt get posted on d2l
Heavy accent makes him hard to follow, handwriting is bad, doesn't have slides. Class is just him spending 2 hours doing the one weekly homework question with messy notes. He's not the one who grades the tests, but whoever does is very nice at marking. Take online plz. he's nice though.
save yourself take a different prof. all the good ratings are from way before. 1; he doesnt post grades on d2l, and u have to be in class to know ur midterm grades, I even mailed the department about his actions even they would take his side saying he mentioned in course outline when he didnt. he only goes through h/w in class n never teaches.
hes an easy grader, but his lectures are boring asf and he's hard to understand sometimes, not very accessible outside of lectures either. He posts nothing on d2l either so if you can't make the every single lecture take a different prof as he won't send you notes either.
He knows his stuff, but can't really teach it very well.
Attendance is not mandatory but you're guaranteed to pass if you just show up to class as everything he goes over in class is what's on the exam.
- does not give students nearly enough time to write down everything on the board before changing topics - does not post class notes in the classroom - no weekly assignments (graded on only 2 midterms and a final) - exams have fewer than 10 questions (getting one wrong makes a major impact on your grade)
during one of his lectures he made it a point that a university should have mid-lower scoring grades so people know the university is tough and therefore better. What? no that's not how it works at all???? if you have him I genuinely feel bad for you good luck he purposefully makes the class harder it's crazy
