Dr. Beites is one of the best professors at TMU. This course is VERY content-heavy, but she records her lectures and doesn't use a textbook so that helps. She is amazing and extremely knowledgeable. She gave two fun and easy assignments worth 15% and were easy boosters. There were two midterms, however, and a final, which were all extremely fair.
Great prof only negative I have is she goes a bit fast and covers A LOT in one lecture she recorded the lectures tho. No surprises in her exams and assignments were very easy. Make sure to write down everything she says in lecture that isn't on the slides, overall it wasn't an easy course but Dr. Beites made it enjoyable.
Dr. Beites is very knowledgeable and helpful, but she talks way too fast. Sometimes her lectures feel like a review when in reality a lot of this content is new to students. Other than that she gives a great opportunity to boost your grade with 2 easy assignments that add up to about 15%. Physio is also just very content heavy in general.
Content heavy course but 2x fun and grade boosting assignments (15%). No surprises on the tests, but it is a lot to know. She is very fun and a good prof. Speaks fast but records lectures so you can go back. Very accessible outside of class. No real cons other than the course being tough, she does not make it harder than it needs to be though.
Physio is content heavy, and the subject matter is not exactly a walk in the park. Dr. Beites is not only a professional at explaining things in an accessible way, but always delivers lectures entertainingly so that it's not a chore to go to her lectures. TMU definitely played the cards right when they hired her, she's absolutely goated.
Content heavy course, you will not do well if you do not study. Her lectures are fast and engaging, and she is a great lecturer. She will regrade and give marks on midterms/exams. Short answer questions are specific, and you must know a lot of small details to get full marks. It is hard to get an A+ in this course, but not impossible.
She teaches GREAT and is very knowledgable. The course is very heavy (2 detailed lectures per week) and its hard to catch up if you leave things for last minute. she marked the two assignments very fairly (15% of the course). if you study the slides and TAKE NOTES, you can get above 90 for sure.
One of the most amazing professors I have ever had. She is so incredibly accommodating, and patient with students and all their questions. The course itself is content heavy but everything is explained so well as long as you study well there is no reason you shouldn't do well in her class. I can't wait to take advanced physiology with her as well.
Professor Beites was extremely funny and made classes interesting. Loved having her. Her assessments were very straightforward as she gives you exact slides to study. The course is very content heavy and it really does build-up toward the exam.
What you learn in the slides is exactly what will be on tests. She even tells you what to write down and what is important to know. Best part is that all lectures are recorded so coming to class is not necessary. One of my favourite classes of the semester!
