Elodie Lugez

Not a bird course. Must attend lecture to do understand well in class. She does not give any hints about exams but they are very fair. Go to office hours. She is okay with repeating things a few times and they do help. Labs can be hard, but they make you learn. Assignments are simple dont over stress.

Show up to class and study each week. interesting class, and assignments had the option to be fairly open-ended.

Make sure to go to her lectures. I was able to understand all materials in lecture itself, reading the slides alone can get confusing. She repeats things multiple times if students look confused and answers questions very well. Tests are fair and reflective of what is taught. If you practice everything she teaches, you should be prepared.

Dr. Lugez is a kind professor who is not only nice but understanding. A technical error during the midterm caused me to lose all my progress, and she let me do the makeup. The exams however are not easy. Very different from the labs and the practice exam. This is not Lugez's fault though, just an important mention. KNOW how to code.

Awesome professor. I found her really nice and she didn't make the course hard for us.

Didn't attend lectures once but still got a great grade. I hear Elodie shares a lot of practice questions in lecture which are very similar to the ones on the midterm/exam. Assignments are a breeze. Similar course to into to data mining and intro to data science

She clearly cares a lot about her students. She teaches using lots of examples. Not too fast paced. Would recommend.
