He's a nice guy, but get ready for 3 hours lectures every time. On top of long lectures, they are pretty boring and participation is non-existent. There are many different assignments throughout the course and they are pretty difficult. For the essay, don't expect over an 80% even with hours of research, blood, sweat and tears. NOT GPA BOOSTER!

He's okay, very nice. I had a minor issue with him regarding grading, but he was more than happy to rectify it. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it is recommended as he plays a lot of videos in class that aren't accessible through the slides he posts. His homework is split into several chunks, so if you're not into that, don't take him.

Great professor, lectures were very engaging. He's an easy marker, and exams are not hard. It doesn't matter if you have no prior knowledge of music, Chris does an amazing at explaining terminology and giving examples throughout the course.

He was amazing! He gave good examples in the lecture, and even gave us a chance for bonus marks for our final grade!!

Took this class and wasn't a music major & loved it. 2 listening quizzes worth 10% each, midterm 15%, essay quiz 5%, essay 30%, text analysis assignment 10%, final 20%. All were online and were easy to complete with class attendance. We had the opportunity to boost our marks with optional weekly quizzes. Def recommend this prof! Great class convos

completely changed the citation format shoved down our throats from first year, what's the point of changing to chicago when APA is fine? Also cannot give helpful feedback, just tells you it's wrong or it makes no sense, when it's direct quote from a source or directly from his lectures…nice prof but unfair expectations

HONESTLY BEST PROF EVER!!! i knew nothing about music before stepping into his class. he is a very engaging and caring prof, lectures are amazing and quizzes are straightforward. he also talks about queer representation in the industry a lot for this class which i found really sweet and he is very open in regards of your topic for your essay

Honestly a warm and caring professor! Made class very fun and enjoyable with his knowledge about music. Would definitely recommend!
