Lahoma Thomas

I was nervous going into this class because of the low rating, but after taking it I can confidently say she's a great prof. She's on the professional side rather then "being your friend", but If you attend class and ask for clarification on tasks, you'll do well. One of my favs so far, (just needs better organization in d2L)

group projects with the most insufferable people, she won't help at all. She is very sweet and knowledgeable but just too harsh on students and very specific.

I don't understand why her ratings are so low. Dr. Thomas is so knowledgeable and really filled a huge gap in creating crm250. The content is so important/interesting. If you're looking for an easy class she's definitely not for you- she expects a lot. She created such a lovely space through her teaching and the conversations had were so meaningful

Final exams were graded harder than even my major's required courses. This was a lower liberal course, not rocket science.Thomas isn't able to have any form of decency in her grading, so please grade yourself out to another university. Run, don't walk from this person.

By far the worst prof I've had. If she doesn't like you/if you stand up to her/fight for a better grade/make a small mistake, she makes a fool out of you, & then your grades suffer. Her assignment outlines seem clear, but she has separate expectations in her head that screw you over. Save your grades & mental health & steer away. She's bad news

Girl did made a debate assignment that went on through the whole semester making her not teach at all. You have to really read and do lecture slides yourself.

Literally why is she getting such low ratings? Dr. Thomas was a very good prof to have, she has lots of knowledge in this field and loved to make her lectures engaging, especially when it came to the debates. As long as you do the readings and pay good attention and don't fall behind your good. There is a group assignment so just do good on that.

Professor Thomas. If you are reading this, I wish I never met you. I will be retaking this course with another professor, someone with emotional intelligence and someone who practices what they preach. You talk so much about unfair systems set on races and then go ahead to do it to those who you are not pleased with.

Very biased teacher. She will treat you differently if you have a different opinion than hers.

Yes, she teaches in classes and goes over her slides when she has to, but doesn't have great communication skills in the sense that she is always open to communicating outside of class without rushing the student out ASAP. I would not take this class again with this professor, as her communication skills are not the best.
