Phenomenal professor and man in every aspect. Highly recommend to all history students.

I took HIS338 last semester and can confidently say he's the best professor I've had at the University of Toronto. He's very organized in presenting the material and clearly outlines expectations. Amazing course and great professor!

Took the Holocaust part 1 at U of T. He is extremely clear in lectures, talking at a decent but notable pace often repeating things he'd deem important, especially for the 4 online quizzes throughout the semester. The exam for the course is extremely straightforward and should not be difficult if you come to every class and do the readings.

Professor Wiens is hands down the best prof I've had. I took HIS338 with him at UofT last semester. He truly cares about his students and is willing to go lengths to help anyone. He makes the content interesting and doesn't ramble (unlike most history profs). He is very charismatic too. Talking to him doesn't feel stressful at all. Take his course!

Took HIS338 with Professor Wiens at UofT. He is very accommodating, super fair marker and really cares about his students.

Super knowledgeable on course content and each of his lectures felt more like a story he was telling us rather than actual lectures. There is a lot of readings and papers but unlike most classes, the papers for this class were actually fun to do and he gives great feedback! One of my favourite courses I've ever taken!!!

Absolutely fantastic prof. Engaging and informative lectures, very organized in the course structure, delivery and grading, gives helpful and timely feedback on assignments, and happy to answer student questions. Truly such a good professor for online, and I would imagine would be excellent in person as well. 10/10 recommend.
