DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE. No practice problems. Lecture slides are barebones, and are not intuitive by nature. Labs are riddled with mistakes. The whole course needs to be reworked.
He is very knowledgeable, but struggles to communicate effectively with students. Also frequently changes his mind on things he said more than once, then tells students they are wrong, especially if you have him for your Capstone FLC.
He is very tough marker, he will take off marks if he feels like it. Tried showing him a question from the midterm where I did exactly the same thing he showed in his slides, but he still gave me 0 marks for following what he did on the slides. When I tried to reason with him, he would not listen.
Prof. Jaseemuddin's Advanced Computer Networks was tough but rewarding. While some found him strict and unclear, I believe with effort, you can excel. He's fair with grades and always ready to help. His enthusiasm made the class engaging. If you're up for a challenge, I highly recommend it!
Does not provide adequate learning material outside of lectures. Reads off slides, slides barely provide enough information to solve problems. Did not provide solution to quiz or problem set before midterm. Learning material is awful for lectures and labs. Lectures are also not explained very well.
He will not give any practice midterms or finals. Offers no homework to practice on. Tells you every question is taught directly in his slides but this is not true. He asks you questions that are not explained directly on slides. He is also not lenient with marking.
* Unorganized course, the professor is a very hard marker and very unreasonable with remarking exams and barely gives part marks. Be ready to study off only his slides as he doesn't accept any other approaches for his solutions.
If you have insomnia or trouble sleeping, attend his lectures to cure it. This guy is extremely boring
He never did actual questions written in class, so no idea what formating he wanted... Tests are graded online because of covid but we got no feedback on answers and had to prepare for the final based on test results where we guessed what we lost marks on. Labs/projects had unclear details and were very confusing. This course was not ready.
Completely unorganized course. The professor essentially made it up as we went along. His exams contain content not taught in class. Don't bother going to his lectures, just read his slides and the textbook sections. Most people did horribly and he had to curve the grades drastically. The only positive is his labs, those were interesting and useful
