I honestly really loved her as a prof, and so I'm taking PSY300 with her! I find that if you don't show up to class, it would be tough to keep up because her exams are based of the lectures, but also... show up to class, lol. She's very approachable to talk to and I enjoyed her lectures. Her exam questions don't feel like she's trying to trick you!
The lectures were drawn out and not very engaging. It was also very difficult communicating to the Professor via email. She often took very long to respond and was very extremely vague with her answers. This made an otherwise interesting course much more difficult than it should've been.
She is so passionate about what she teaches. Mentioned how she practised law, and I think that was a huge factor in how well this class and the discussions/lectures went. Highly recommend both this course and this prof!
The course content is divided evenly. The textbook is not mandatory, it's good if you miss a lecture though. Exam questions can be a bit confusing.
Loved her as my prof and genuinely made the lecture enjoyable even when it was an 8am class. Would 100% take her again, although she is a tough grader, she helps you with anything you need when it comes to the content for exams or paper. There were 2 midterms, paper, and an exam.
Genuinely a very sweet professor, you can tell that shes taken all the negative reviews from the past and worked on her teaching style, as shes improved everything that was once said about her. Extremely accommodating, very sweet, engaging, and does not tolerate any form of hate. She is a tough grader and has high expectations, but is reasonable.
Dr. Erentzen is VERY VERY kind. She's actually the kindest prof I've had at TMU. You can always go to her if you have any trouble regarding the course and she will make sure to help you. The lectures are pretty straightforward however the exams are heavy in my opinion, it's 60MC questions with almost all situational questions.
Professor Erentzen always had enjoyable lectures, was clear with tests & papers and was easily accessible outside of class for support. Highly recommend her for both PSY300 and PSY124
The lectures were engaging and thoughtful. However, the rubrics were vague and open ended. Due to this fact, the grading was inconsistent with what the rubric demanded. This turned a very enjoyable class into a bit of a chore.
Very interesting lectures making studying fun, textbook not mandatory but helpful alongside slides if you skip class. Exams were easy if you make notes throughout the sem (I studied the day before and did fine), didnt include anything just from textbook. TAs were inconsistent markers though, maybe I just had bad luck. But prof herself is lovely!
