Cameron Macdonell

Cameron is a fantastic professor. He is a wealth of knowledge & his lectures are interesting. His history class is very theory-heavy & challenging, but he is always available to help, & clearly wants to see his students succeed. He is an academic through-and-through while still being warm & approachable.

Really an expert, his lectures are long but if you tune in they're interesting. There is a lot of reading, he wrote his owns "textbook" which he provided so no need to purchase one. Very reasonable in expectations and understanding when issues come up.

Professor Cameron is one of the best professors I've had. His passion and knowledge are unmatched, and he goes the extra mile to help students grow. He genuinely cares, providing thoughtful feedback, encouragement, and a supportive environment. His guidance had a lasting impact on my education and I'm so grateful to have learned from him!

He is literally a king, amazing as a professor and made my life so much more easier. His course was so easy to manage within my other courses. Highly respectable!

He is amazing

Truly one of the best professors I've had. Lectures are heavy with lots of reading and notes but if you show up, pay attention and try, then you'll be fine. Before his classes, I wasn't a big fan of history but the way he is so passionate and knowledgeable I began to enjoy and come to love it. Honestly one of the smartest professors I know.

Very knowledgeable in his field and passionate about his teachings though it can be a lot to take in. Provides extremely detailed notes. Lectures help comprehend information and collect terminologies. Very nice and understanding person. Will reply to emails quickly. Very particular about essays and citations. Lots of trick questions in exams.

He's an amazing prof! He's very knowledgeable in what he teaches and it made art history so interesting. He provides notes to students and they are VERY detailed. Be sure to come to class it will make studying for exams so much easier. Exams were open book and online and one research essay. Take your own notes for an easy A!

Although this class is quite boring, he was a great proff and he somewhat made it interesting. His exams were very easy (online multiple choice) and the course only had 1 research paper. very nice guy

It is clear that Professor Macdonell cares about his students. Additionally, there is a lot to learn in his class outside of historical fact, analysis, etc. You will learn important skills that pertain to most other classes including how to write and conduct your own research. Also, if you want to do well, it is important to attend lectures.
