Laura Turner

Her lectures were awesome. Gives clear and real life examples with good explanation. Does not just read off power points. Really lenient at grading. Lectures aren't mandatory and you can pass the course even without the lectures and only with slides.

CECN 627: Fair and gave students many opportunities to get good grades - simple weekly assignments worth 10%, and gave bonus marks if students fixed previous assignment mistakes on their next assignment. Not sure why the reviews are so negative, she is a decent professor that gives a lot of feedback on assignments that is helpful for the final.

Really don't see why ppl are being so rude to this woman. She's fine, not the best prof I've had but I learnt things and passed the class. She's a tough grader and slow to mark things but thats nothing new lots of profs are like that.

She does not have patient to students.

Very mixed feelings. Good teacher, Care student but hard assignment and marks. In summer terms, there is no office hour, both teacher and student crunch with this timetable. I just can not bring this low grade to my master application while this subject is super important.

She taught R during the days we have class. Review probability, statistics, and econometrics before doing the assignment and R exercises to get a better grade. She helps students on using R. Wait for her to tell you that you're good to leave after she reviews your submitted R exercise. Her marking scheme was fair. Study and learn more R to do well.

idk what other people are talking about but if you go to her office hour and get familiar with her she's honestly amazing. Very caring and very generous with extensions and end-of-semester mark boosts. Only thing I can say where she isn't the greatest is that she takes a long time to mark, but other than that, I would definitely take her again.

She is a really nice person. The class is fairly difficult, but she provides sufficient help during her office hours for you to do well in the assignments. Essays are not too big, so it does not take too long or are hard to do. She provides a practice exam that is similar to the real exam. Even if you don't do too well, she is lenient on the grades

It's really hard to keep up and stay on track as a student with Laura turner because she uploads assignments and lectures 3 weeks late and says "my bad" or "i forgot". She's kind of dumb tbh. You can't even get ahead in this class because it could be week 8 and she still isn't done uploading week 6 slides. We can't even ask for help in office hours

Lectures are so dry and boring, they don't go over any useful content and are uploaded on a crappy loom website. DO NOT take this class, if you have Laura Turner, run the other way and save yourself!!!! Hard to even get a 3.67. She is such a useless prof, doesn't teach anything useful in the tutorials and uploads assignments and lectures WEEKS LATE
