Best finance professor ever! She would post questions at the end of the lectures for us to do, and in the next class she would go over them very throughly. She made fin300 a very easy course. She explained every single concept well, and took care of her students. She was so sweet and nice.
Patricia is a really good professor. FIN300 is already a difficult course but the way she teaches and makes you understand it is amazing. She puts in the effort and goes the extra mile for students to understand the material. Great professor, highly recommend.
go for lecture, understand each example, you would be good at exam!
Attendance, 3 assignments, final exam. Topics will likely bore you, lectures will put you to sleep and she won't care if you walk in for attendance and walk out. Gives great feedback on assignments so you can improve. I received a high mark by giving very thorough answers on the assignments. You will get a good mark by putting the work in.
Patricia is honestly not bad, she tries really hard to explain concepts but finance is a tough course. I found her hard to follow so stopped showing up. They key to doing well is doing all the textbook practice questions and doing the reading before the class. Her class did have the lowest average for the midterm and she does NOT curve.
Worst professor I've ever had. Doesn't teach properly, doesn't give us our marks on time, doesn't give us any updates on our marks, and makes midterm harder than it needs to be. Avoid at all costs
I honestly don't know why her rating is this high. She reads off the slides, and doesn't explain concepts properly at all. Better off reading the text book and teaching yourself the material, her midterm was hard, and the class average was one of the lowest out of all finance midterms. Final was easier, but it's only because all fin profs write it
Worst prof ever! Avoid at all costs. She says okay way too much, and does not explain concepts properly.
Overall she is good prof, she tries to use both methods (calculator and formulas). Very approachable, and always answers student questions. The course is hard itself, so be prepared to spend extra time to go over the concepts.
Prof McGraw is a real gem - she can seem a bit intimidating at first but if you ask her for help and make a genuine effort, you will do well in her class. She doesn't try to trick you like many other profs and tries to structure the course in the easiest way possible.
