Dr. Paul has a really engaging and humorous lecture style. His lectures are content heavy but he's great at making the information more digestible. The syllabus includes 3 exams (all mc) and 3 short assignments, with clear instructions and feedback. Cares about students and is really approachable. Would definitely take a class with him again!
Amazing professor. Going to class is a must because slides lack wording, but lectures are engaging. He is wonderful. Three exams, all multiple choice, and three small assignments. Kind guy and happy to answer questions, also really funny. He posts practice exams as well and returns grades ASAP. 10/10!!
Brandon Paul is great. He is engaging and funny. The only thing is, his slides do not have much info on them. Going to class is really important as the content is tough. Exams are easy, and there are three instead of two, so it helps a lot. Would definitely take him again.
Honestly a great prof. He gives really good examples that make the content easier to understand and keeps the lectures engaging. The slides alone aren't super informative, so you definitely need to show up to class to get the full picture. His exams are very fair and you can tell he actually wants his students to succeed. Highly recommend!
really great prof who cares about students! his lectures were always engaging & and overall a very funny guy. he's also a fair grader & provides great feedback.
I enjoyed having him in PSY102, he makes lectures interesting by giving many irl examples, and answers students' questions thoroughly. His exams are SUPER easy, based off the slides. You also can get 3% just for participating in 2-3 research activities. I think his TA's may be hard markers for the assignments, but I got a high 90 overall average.
I am not a fan personally. His lectures were very boring and did not make sense most of the time. Many of his examples for new lessons he introduced would be overcomplicated and difficult to understand. I would reccomend if you are needing this credit to complete your degree, take it through Chang school in an online format.
He is fine but I hate his lecture slides. they are just pictures & usually 0 words on the slides so when you try to study it makes no sense with 0 context. I have a hard time paying attention even though I attend every lecture, I usually study off the slides, but it was so hard cuz they sucked. I had to go through the textbook to try & get context.
easy grader, love the way he teaches, is one of the best profs I ever came across, and really cares about students.
He's an excellent professor! Attending lectures and paying attention can help you score well, even without much revision. With enough practice, an A+ is possible. His teaching is clear and concise, his explanations are detailed, and he's highly organized, making the course easy to navigate.
