I'm 50/50 with Stedmans way of instructing the course. He gives great feedback and I see the potential of the course being amazing. His biggest struggle in teaching the course was fusion. It's not the most beginner friendly. Aside from that, he was nice and good feedback!
Nick is a very nice and personable person. It's not about him as a person, but it's more of the way he teaches. It is really hard for people who are recently introduced to the Fusion 360 program and he goes a little too quickly.
Nick was a great prof and super chill in the workshop classes. Tutorials were a bit fast paced and a bit confusing with learning Fusion but overall his classes were super fun. The final project can be a bit overwhelming especially if you're new to Fusion but if you choose something you want to make and not fairly difficult then you'll do great.
Really nice in person but never responds to emails on time and expects THE most out of a beginner class and has such tedious projects.
The structure he taught the class in wasn't the best, since we had to create ideas for projects off of knowledge we didn't have and just pray that it works in line with the resources and materials we had. Wish he was more specific in what we could and couldn't. But he replies to emails really fast and was very available, just wish he was more clear
Stedman is clear in grading criteria and always makes time for 1v1 help, but he doesn't spend much time teaching how to use the tools/software well. He would teach very little in class (most of the class time is looking at examples to inspire us) so I would have to teach myself how to use the software outside of class, which is disappointing.
Nick is a fantastic prof. Friendly, polite, and incredibly knowledgeable. He is one of the best profs I've ever had, and I always feel excited to take his class.
I've had Nick for a handful of classes now, and he is by far one of, if not the best prof in the New Media program. Nick goes out of his way when teaching students, and it really shows. He puts a ton of care into what he's teaching and he aims to make sure that no student gets left behind in the content that's being taught. The Stedster is an A+
The Stedster is just an generally cool guy, if you feel like you need more help or like you're really not reaching your potential he will help you until you get back on track. The man cares a lot about your experience in his class, and he shows a real passion for teaching. Even if you're not as good at the projects in this class, he will help a lot
