She wasn't understanding whatsoever. She didn't explain anything properly, and class was the most boring thing ever, with no interesting topics.
If you like incessant quizzes and tedious essay exams, go for it.
Ila is very knowledgeable in what she teaches and it was a delight learning from her course. Quizzes and class participation work was fun. However she is very strict about attendance in her classes. So if you are not the regular types in classes, you lose out on some easy marks.
Very interesting course but poor content delivery and inconsistent grading. Lectures are more like discussions, she has a very monotone voice and her slides are very short (ex.12 slides & not useful). You MUST do the readings! Stressful midterm and final exam were research based essays with tight time restrictions. Group project was graded fairly.
Ila seems like a kind teacher. She is available to answer your queries beyond the classroom and takes the time to assess your specific needs. The feedback on the assignments so far has been also helpful.
Extremely unclear instructions and very disorganized Brightspace/D2L. Terrible lecturer too
Loved this class. The prof. was available beyond the class and responded cordially to queries. The course is easy to follow, well organized and compels us to think beyond the box. I strongly recommend this class and this prof.
I learnt a great deal in Dr Ahlawat's class. She is punctual and gives interesting lectures on course content. I particularly enjoyed the class discussions with peers. If you need extensions, make sure to ask in advance- she is not averse to those
It was a fun and easy course with this prof. Lots of group tasks and easy to follow instructions. I recommend speaking to her right after the lectures rather than waiting for the office hours. She is pretty approachable and her grading isn't very bad either
did not do anything we were supposed to cover. her lectures were so bad and I had so much busy work mandatory attendance es to lectures and discussion groups. very unclear instructions on assignments
