Very unaccommodating prof, strict on everything, which is ironic given what the course promotes. Im not sure how you can make a course so tedious and demanding than have zero willingness to be helpful. Especially when teaching about mindfulness/helpfulness. Just comes off passive aggressive, would recommend taking a different course

Thought this would be a fun course to take but I never guessed I would be so wrong

She's very kind and cares about her student work and helping them build a better life in and out of school! She's specific with what she wants but if you follow her instructions she's really a nice professor

Well she's a really sweet professor so ignore the students who say otherwise they probably didn't follow her instructions. She can be very blunt but she doesn't tolerate student who don't listen in class and ask the same questions over and over again. I did enjoy her class though was relatively straight forward

Dr. Shaffer is amazing! Genuinely cares for all students. Her grading is very straightforward and if you do everything correct from the rubric, you will without a doubt get an amazing mark. There's weekly quizzes and Google forms but it's very simple. You should attend all lectures because attendance counts. Overall a great prof I recommend.

She's strict with her boundaries but she really is a nice professor. She wants to help students be better in their personal lives and make the academic journey easier. I did enjoy this class and it's not hard to get an A

She really is not bad. I think she is a bit difficult to get along if you need accommodations, but other than that, if you follow all her rules through and through, you are all set. You can get easy A here. Also, don't take her responses to your questions personally. Just focus on getting the right answer.

Great Professor. She is very nice and honest with her responses. She is fair and will reward hard work. She is a great professor
