She really knows her subject. If you read the course description carefully, you should have no trouble getting an A. If you prefer not to do the A-level assignments, which are optional, you can still get a B.
Avoid! Unclear grading criteria, and unclear expectations. Not sure how she's been getting away with teaching at a university.
very friendly professor. content was a little fluffy, but fun course
This prof is all colors, sunshine nothing else, she lacks the skills to be a prof and gives more art teacher vibes. Not suited to be a uni professor, her grading is super vague has little to no instructions and expects a whole lot when she teaches nothing but arts and crafts. Also expect to actually be present in every class.
The grade was my fault, apparently the "participation marks" for the "optional badges" count for A LOT MORE than just.. yeah. Literally makes no sense; for my big assignments, I got 100%, and the badges, I also received good grades on. I did well on quizzes so I legit have no idea how I got C..? But Jay and Diana are the best profs ever.
Diana Varma is a lovely professor who is clearly passionate about what she teaches. The lectures were entertaining and I looked forward to going to class. The course consisted of 3 related projects all in InDesign, Skills, and class attendance. If you attend class, you get an automatic 12% which is great! Overall great course and and prof!
She has a very strange grading criteria…and her standards are unclear even if she spells it out in the rubric. She is also very strict with the course structure.
She is a great lecturer! Very caring and thoughtful
Diana was an amazing professor. The class was super engaging and fun. There are projects that will take some time and effort but they all felt very rewarding.
This course focuses on communication, teamwork, relationships, and soft skills. While important, the content lacks depth for graduate-level work and feels more suited for high school. The course doesn't challenge students with advanced insights and instead feels like a filler, covering concepts many already know through experience
