Please RUN! I did all the quizzes on time and attended all his lectures. He is very annoyingly unorganized. This course affected my GPA so bad, genuinely havent met a prof who doesn't respond to emails even after reminding couple of times. Also this is my first time rating a prof here so please RUN if you have him for ASL 101

The professor is kind and not very approachable. only one class per week, lectures feel rushed and assignments can be confusing. More practice time would help. Haven't gotten any Email responses, and grading is strict, so high marks are challenging to achieve. He is nice and funny.

I had him for 201 after Nina for 101 (she's amazing). Apart from his teaching style, he doesn't clarify deadlines and date/times for tests!! As students, we should not have to ask our profs to constantly clarify those details. He's also someone who doesn't own up to his mistakes, which is really frustrating for a prof.

This professor doesn't give proper instructions ever. He has pop quizzes as well and he's a very tough grader. For the final exam he took of points for each and every tiny error. I would say if you have this professor just drop the course or take another prof. I would definitely not take this professor again.

I'm telling you..RUN AWAY right now. All the good ratings are lies. He never gives clear instructions on assignments and exams, and is not easily accessible outside class. For dialogue assignment, he will deduct every possible point and mark rlly tough. For the final exam, a bunch of questions covered the contents that he didn't teach in class. run

James is a good teacher, but not for online classes. Never uploaded lecture videos after saying so, and most of the time I had to spend searching online for signs. He doesn't teach sentence structures properly and gives the bare minimum information about upcoming tests and quizzes! Want to email him for help? Will respond late or w/ one sentence.

Do not trust these other ratings—they are lying. If you get this prof, especially online, RUN. He is unclear with instructions, reluctant to provide details, unorganized, confused and doesn't respond to emails. Nearly half the class failed the ASL midterm—an ASL 101 midterm, mind you. This course is usually an easy grade booster, but not with him.

Worst professor ever .Don't trust the RMP ratings. He is so boring to give detail information about the tests . We don't even know how it will tested . Very tough grader.

I took this course online but given those circumstances, I had a really good time taking this class with professor Etheridge. He uploads the lectures on D2L in video format but I would highly recommend attending the lectures. I had some issues in regards to him replying to my emails but that's my only complaint. Overall a really good professor!

Professor Etheridge is 100% the best prof at Ryerson. He makes his lectures funny and enjoyable. I would definitely take this class again.
