Midterms were online with lockdown browser, while final was in-person. I didn't really go to any of the lectures as all he did was read off the slides, but hes a really nice guy who's happy to see you in class when you do go. He's a really sweet guy and sent congratulations/thank you emails to everyone when the semester ended.
He's a wonderful person, but man those lectures are so long and so boring. Most lectures were over 60 slides with tons of info on each slide and he slid past them quick. Be prepared for the 70+ question multiple choice exams and the group project.
Good professor. Very respectable. Some of the quizzed content is questionable on its necessity, but I'm not sure if that is on the professor or the actual course.
personality 10/10, responds to email quickly. but his lectures are boring and he doesn't explain the math related topics well. you gotta do some readings. two tests worth 20% each online (lockdown browser, web cam & microphone) , GP 20% and final exam 40%. course seems easy at first but actually not coz exams are mostly about applying the concepts
an absolute sweetheart. if you want a teacher who actually cares about his students succeeding and not being tortured, you can count on him. he is very nice to speak with after class. he makes the course very easy and you can tell that he is someone who enjoys what he does. The positive atmosphere is very motivating, recommend 10/10!
Sabbir Saiyed is a great professor, and you can do well even if you don't attend lectures. However, if you show up and demonstrate that you care about the course, he'll do everything he can to help you succeed. This course consists of tests/projects and has lots of theory, plus textbook reading, but he's responsive and cares for students.
I love Sabbir Saiyed! He's a caring professor who's always willing to help students so long they show up/care about the class. He understands that GMS is lecture-heavy and theory/concept-based, and unlike a lot of profs, he remembers what it's like to be a student and has a lot of empathy. He's easy-to-reach too via email even when it's finals.
Too much japanese things
