Prof Michael is a very chill and nice person. I'm not that of an English and writing person, but I always looked forward to attending his class every week. Lectures are not as heavy, it's usually like 50% lectures, 25% group work and 25% personal reflection work. He gives great feedbacks that prepares you for exam.
He's such a great guy and his lectures genuinely made me excited to go to class every morning. Very chill, very down to earth, and his expectations are more than reasonable. He even held a creative writing seminar which I found was so helpful and so engaging. I'd definitely recommend him. (Actually had him for ENG503 but there was no option for it)
Prof Raby is a chill guy. He is VERY clear in grading criteria, so as long as you check off the boxes you'll be fine. He doesn't usually teach 112, and having taken the prof who usually does before, prof Raby was WAY EASIER. The TA was a tough marker, but he is not. Extra credit offered to bring up midterm grades. Would definitely recommend.
He is a kind and accommodating professor, however his grading criteria can be very unclear and your sole grade really matters on the essay; he could improve on lecturing as it can be very dry and awkward, props for effort. However his TA marks harder than himself, and is quite a prude honestly.
Please avoid this professor. Horrible!!!!! This course is supposed is not supposed to be extremely challenging but her purposely makes it difficult when it comes to grading. Horrible. Just horrible
This guy is literally the worst being on earth I can't believe he has a high rating on this site. Do Not take this class he's a chatgpt warrior and will not answer any questions you have.
Loved having him as my professor. His lectures are fairly straight forward and are useful to take notes on. Accessible outside of class but at the beginning of the semester he responded slowly, now he's been fast at responding so there's improvement there. He's cool, give him a try, and show up for yourself, you'll like this class. Promise :)
Its very obvious that he has a passion for what he teaches. He makes lectures interesting and he seems very nice. Its tempting to skip his classes though because he posts the slides but going to class def helps, trust me because I didn't
Really really REALLY kind. Like so nice. Really accommodating and knowledgable
