He gives out way too much work in little chunks and I had to do most of my work myself. PICK GROUPS WISELY
This man showed the instructions of an assignment AFTER the submission date, and he also doesn't teach as much and is very vague, but when it comes to the marking, he is very strict. He also switched us from in-person to online with no warning, and that made it very difficult for the students with back-to-back classes. Take someone else TRUST
Irfan is so wholesome, you can genuinely tell he loves teaching. Midterm exam, he let us write whichever question we found the most confusing on the back of the formula sheet for a bonus mark. The course overall has a lot of information, if you took marketing in hs, it should mostly be a repeat of that. Don't cram for the final, study a week before
Dr. Butt is a good professor. He cares about the course, as he updates it after every semester. Course is extremely group oriented, make sure you have a good group that can communicate. Being a team lead seems daunting, but is a relatively easy 5% bonus. TAs marked horribly, forgetting we are in undergrad. Prof adjusted grades accordingly so 👍🏼
Professor Butt designs the course in mind that you get real-world experience from it, which serves as a great opportunity in your final year. He is accessible if you need his help with something and cares about his students. Everything you need to know to succeed in the course is given to you; if you follow guidelines it's not hard to get an A.
This course is very easy to get an A in, if you have a great team and do all that is expected of you in this course. Professor Butt gives clear guidelines and is accessible if you need his help with something. He brings in guest lecturers to help students understand the course content they need to succeed to be good consultants for firms.
You'd have to try pretty hard to not get a good grade in this class. Pretty self explanatory, prof gives past project examples so it's pretty clear what he's looking for (TA clearly wasn't on the same page but the prof realized this and made the adjustments). Being a team lead is easy for the 5% bonus, having a good group is tremendously important
It's hard to rate him like other profs, as he doesn't really “teach” in this class, rather guides. However, he's a great prof who cares about the student's success, and takes it upon himself to make the course better each semester.
Overall he's good prof. Always answered emails and stayed after class to explain things that were unclear. He explained at the beginning of the class that if you do your part you'll do great, which was 100% true. His TA this semester marked us like PhD students for some reason, but after meeting with him he bumped our grade for the proposal.
useful course for any student in marketing. prof does a good job in explaining material and grades fairly.
