Professor Mignone was extremely understanding and accommodating of my personal circumstances in my first year at Ryerson. He may or may not know it, but he was a big help to me.
Easy going personality, to the point, responds to emails quickly, very flexible on participation/assignment options. Not the most charismatic presenter but also not pompous or arrogant.
Prof Mijone is super knowledgeable and up on current events. The course has pre-recorded lectures on the textbook and live lectures on current event. Helped me understand world events. He's also approachable and has the best accent.
Our mark was based on 4 assignments. These assignments required several hours of reading each and lots of summarizing and explaining. Not much of what you will learn in class will have relevance to the assignments. If you find the right sources and are willing to do a lot of reading, it's an easy A. The professor gives vague feedback though.
Avoid this professor, he is tough in grading, vague (you don't understand what he wants in the assignment. I dropped the class because I am sure he wouldn't pass me.
This is the worst professor ever. Gives unclear grading criteria, the TA's have different standards for grading tutorial attendance, and worst of all, he doesn't even bother answering your emails.
