Literally my dad. Put in the effort and you will do well, he cares a lot about his students.
PLG320 and PLG420 really changed my perspective on planning and design. Thanks to Victor and Hernan, I see our city and the world around me in a new way! Victor cares deeply about the subject and his students... I think that is all we can ask for. Dedicated teachers who want to give us all they can.
Victor Perez-Amado was a great professor! His class was really helpful and helped me understand how to develop drawings at the urban scale. He's a tough professor, but he dedicates a lot of time and attention to each student until their drawings are successful!
Theres always something due every week and he takes attendance every class. He will email you if you rack up too many absences. Other than that, he's passionate about the subject and gives good feedback. As long as you stay on top of the workload and listen to his critiques, this is a relatively easy course to succeed in.
He cares a lot! Thats what an amazing teacher does. Thanks to him I have an understanding of urban design
Geat prof. He provides good feedback during desk crits, which really allowed me to take my projects to the next level. He is very blunt, but that's kind of just a trait of any designer, do not take personally. Attend class, be attentive, bring creative ideas, and put extra effort into your work. If you pick good groupmates, you'll do good.
Victor is incapable of giving feedback constructively. Instead, he will insult your work and provide little guidance on how to improve it. Overall, unpleasant and does not seem to like any of his students. It's a shame because the course itself has a lot of opportunities to learn practical skills.
Obvious Victor cares A LOT about his students and urban design. Can be critical because he cares about quality work. From what I hear TMU's planning studios now have more urban design and visual skills which is important for planners. Professor Hernan / Victor make a great team. I learned A LOT from him and really grateful. Ps. PICK A GOOD TEAM!
a bum to the highest degree, unrealistic standards of how much work can be done in a week and will freak out when your work is rushed or slightly incomplete
