Kimberly Varma

I have taken two of prof Varma classes and really enjoyed both of them. She cares about her students and explains things clearly. I learned a lot from her classes. She also gives a good idea of what to expect on exams, which helps a lot.

This is my second class with Prof Varma. She is the absolute best. 2 midterms worth 30% and a final worth 40%. Lectures are content heavy but are easy to understand. Questions/emails are welcomed. No tricks on the exams. Lets you know in advance what she expects on exams. Definitely recommend taking her.

Regret taking this class- the reviews are not accurate. It isnt that the content in this class is hard to understand. She doesn't grade fairly and doesn't care. There are way better profs in the Criminology department where you will get better grades and learn more.

She is so sweet!! She actually cares about her students, and her exams are easy so dw and I'm someone who is bad at MC but hers is so clear and straight to the point just be sure to go to class if you don't you won't do well. I love her so much!

Varma is an amazing professor! Cares very deeply about her students and makes lectures entertaining and informative! Taking another course with her because of how great she is! Good grading criteria and fair ways of assessing!

one of my favourite profs, she truly cares and knows when the class is tired/not engaging as much and try to shape the lecture time around that. I learned a lot from the course and would take more of her course. the only thing is the course is exam heavy tho, 3 exams total.

She is nice. Your avarge professor. Her class is relatively easy. However I feel like she marks people depending on what they got on previous assignments. Kind of like she gives you the same mark on everything. At least this was my expereince.

Professor Varma is one of my favourite professors at Ryerson. Shes so accessible and understanding and really wants her students to succeed. She can mark hard depending on the evaluation, but she is fair. Ive taken multiple courses with her and I can honestly say they were all worth it. She is passionate about what she teaches and it shows!

One of the best prof's ive had at Ryerson. You can tell she really cares about her students and actually wants them to do well. Super sweet woman as well. I always looked forward to going to her weekly lectures. Made my fourth year worth it.

Such a kind professor, and very accommodating. However, her lectures can be heavy and you need to be sure to pay attention! She is also a pretty strict grader, but never unfair. READ THE TEXTBOOK! Notes from there will come in handy during summatives. Pay attention, go to class, take good notes and i promise you'll do good.
