One of the nicest and best profs that I've had. John breaks down difficult tax concepts into simpler terms for you, and his lectures clearly indicate what types of problems he expects you to solve. There are no tricks on his exams and they are all fair. He's also super organized and always walks into class with a smile on his face. Awesome prof!

i love this man. weekly assignments that are graded based on effort, so it doesnt matter if you get the full question wrong. midterm and final were very doable as long if you complete the weekly assignments and attend the lectures as he takes up the assignments during class time. class ends early as he posts weekly lecture videos before hand.

The best prof I've had in all of tmu. Doesn't waste your time with lectures and gives you clear take-ups of assignments. Gives assignment that are reasonable and graded favorably. Allows you to take a cheat sheet to the midterm and final, and provides fair tests. On top of that does a recorded lecture that fantastically explains that weeks material

Amazing professor, definitely learned so much more compared to my previous tax course with another professor. He teaches the concepts clearly and takes up all assignment questions in class that help you for the midterm and final. You can definitely do well in his class if you put in the time and work into it.
