Everyone gets a 75 on everything and he's so boring…

Lectures are long, not his fault but if you're not interested in the topic it can be difficult, though he is occasionally funny and speaks well. Long readings are frequent and the online textbook was like 80 bucks. Also he is sort of a harsh grader, kind of feels a bit arbitrary, most people I know actually tried hard and got like 70s.

Overall, great proff. Lectures are well made and delivered. He is a bit tough on grading.

Owen was a decent professor. His lectures were long, but he clearly knew what he was talking about, and that made them interesting. His feedback on the essays was not clear, and he is not accessible outside of class and does not respond to emails. Grading criteria were clear though.

pretty good overall. tough grader and then his feedback doesn't really help. He's knows what he's talking about tho, and he's really interesting to talk to. Very helpful with answering questions especially in person. lectures are long but sometimes interesting.

he's okay. doesn't respond to emails... he was very critical with his grading... for an open elective film class it was kind of doing too much. i forgot to do one quiz and got slapped with a 0, dragged my quiz grade total from an 85 to a 77. i think he likes the film students over the elective ones because he gave them an extension, no questions :/

Great engaging lectures and gets the class involved. His rubrics are not always clear however and sometimes lack key points. Tough grader. Overall quite a good prof, would definitely take a class with him again.

The lectures well thought out, very easy to digest. Content was mostly engaging. Hard to reach outside of class. I don't think he checks his inbox daily, or he receives so many emails it takes him a while to respond.. He is a medium hard marker, not super hard. Overall, not too bad!

I'm pretty rational about profs so I mean it when I say Owen is not that great. Not accommodating or accessible outside (or inside) of class whatsoever. Feels like the course is just a gig to him and there isn't care or thought put in it beyond that. Easy course but beware; he's unclear/inconsistent with what he expects for the group proj

Grades hard and doesnt give feedback for what you lost marks on. He seems to care for what he is teaching, but doesnt make lectures enjoyable to go to, ended up losing half the class' attendance by fourth week. Weekly reading and quiz for it that had minimal connection to the course. Assignments were well explained and structured though
