Challenging exams but he gives bonus marks. I gotta say he's the greatest of all time out of the full time finance profs at TMU.

I loved having him as a prof for FIN401. He's a really nice guy who genuinely wants his students to succeed. The exams are not hard, it's literally the same questions from the lectures and end of chapter questions from the textbook. He does bonus questions that are related to random things from class so as long as you attend class you're good.
He is a nice guy but his midterm and exams can be super random. it can be something talked about randomly in class and basically even if you know all the material, the questions are still surprising. he is also a hard market for the group project
The class itself is hard but he genuinely wants you to pass and do good! Make sure to review every lesson honestly it'll help u a lot.
It is clear that this professor cares about his students. There are weekly quizzes in class and many opportunities to get basically free marks. His midterm and final are almost identical to the weekly quizzes but he also provides review material that is helpful as well. He marks fairly easy and boosts garages when he feels like students deserve it
The class isn't compulsory, so you mostly learn on your own. The midterm is very hard, but you get 20% from MyLab and the final is 50%. He tries to teach, but the accent can be a bit hard to follow. Still, he's very caring, great over email, and gives lots of practice. Challenging course but supportive prof.
FIN 699 has a seminar approach where students engage with the content more. The first half of the semester is lectures gathering a base of fintech while the second half are lectures delivered by students. The seminar style of this course provides very beneficial skills and relevant information about emerging trends in the finance industry.
Great prof. The course is not easy by any means but Professor Tut tried his best to prepare the class for the examinations. You must do the homework and lecture problems to succeed.
More passionate about other commitments then faciltating the course. No crowd control. Gets off topic easily. The class was full of distractions and people chattering. Unprepared for lectures such as borrowing pens/pencils or takes 5-10 minutes to set up a question so then the class mentally checks out. I'd rather take a hard prof then this one.
