One of the worst exam marker, he must be never heard of part marks, idk why his rating is so high he is not deserving any credit
Bruh how are people rating him bad...the final exam was majority copy paste from lecture slide examples, only his marking scheme is bad but his exams are easy.
his grading schemes gave no part marks if you didn't use his exact methods, but on the other hand the midterm/final exam questions were almost exactly the same as his lecture examples. the average for the final and midterm were both around 60%.
his lecture slides are so easy to understand that you could do decent in the course just by learning off that. his midterm/exam are just variations of the problems taken from the slides. don't do any problem sets or past exams to study - just focus on the slides. his marking scheme is strict though so be as clear as you can in your work. nice prof.
The slides are easy to follow and make sense, and is what is on the exams. Where he falls is with the way he marks everything, with little to no partial marks if at all any. His grading scheme provided means the average stays at a medium of 50 to 60.
Lectures often lacked clear explanations, and key concepts were not presented in a way that helped build understanding. It frequently felt like students were expected to learn most of the material on their own. Grading was also extremely strict, with little to no partial marks even when the approach was mostly correct.
This prof makes everything very clear and tells you exactly what you need to do to succeed. Slides were really good so you don't need to look at anything else for exams.
The goat, most the exam questions were same as lecture examples but with different numbers. Although his marking scheme is strict so watch out for that.
Dr. Kandasamy is someone that I would speak to even outside of class. He would sometimes go on tangents not related to the course, but its ok because they were funny. He teaches the course very well and explains concepts easily as well. His slides are the best I have seen. He once said: "If you stop looking for girls, girls will line up".
Exams are deceptively easy, until you get it back and you get a 0 because you didn't solve it the exact way shown in the lecture. Will be very surprised if he's allowed to teach 632 again after this semester, we need dimitri back
