Michael's a super sweet guy with a lot of knowledge to share. Some assignments are vague and could be clearer, plus he can be a bit of a tough grader at times, but once you get the hang of his style things are very straightforward. The class was consulted in every decision he made and he was patient when we weren't always super participative
in this course we're assigned texts, then we watch the films in class, but we don't compare the two, or even discuss the content of either version. instead, doxtater rambles about extremely loosely (or not at all) related subjects, then assigns the most vague third grade level bs ever. also as a female student, he stood way too close to me. yikes.
Michael seems like a nice guy, however I wouldn't ever recommend him as a prof. Assignments weren't difficult but a lot of the time outlines were confusing and vague. There were also some extra due dates not on the syllabus, so beware of having work thrust upon you a couple days before it's due.
I love this guy! this course was one of the easiest electives ever! his assignments are very easy even though not very clear but still easy As
Best prof I've had idk why people dislike him so much! he makes things simple and straightforward because I only had 4 things to do in this course and they were easy. It's difficult to fail this course because he's a very generous grader too. He's literally like a grade booster. I would love to take another one of his courses and I 100% recommend!
Really bad lectures that have nothing to do with the content, very boring and difficult to pay attention and listen to because it's so out of context and confusing. Not the class I thought it would be, but easy marker.
super nice guy and super chill teacher and marker. Class doesn't have much guidance and you need to stay up to date on your own. doesn't really give clear answers to questions but its a really easy class and he's a great guy. very easy marker too
quite possibly the easiest class i have taken. he doesn't really have set-in-stone guidelines but that also means you can pretty much do whatever you want for your assignments, not that hard to get a good grade if u pay attention and participate. pretty chill guy. not easy if u like structured lectures.
Michael is a fantastic individual and is willing to impart Indigenous knowledge to his students who are willing to listen, as a native student myself attending this uni I appreciated this. Yes, his teaching method is confusing for the foundational CRI 200 class, but you couldn't get an easier A. Try his other courses & don't overthink assignments!
I don't know whether to recommend him or not.. I did so well in the course, it was so easy to get a good grade.. I got 90's on all my thought papers.. but I hate how much he loves group projects, and his lectures put me to sleep
