Jonathan Cinnamon

Took his course at UBC (GEOG129) He explains things well with passion and is definitely a good prof. Grading is not clear, but reasonable grades were given

Class taken at UBCO. Jon is a great prof that obviously cares about his research and encourages students to do the same. Classes were mainly student led seminars and presentations however Jon always contributes to the content if its lacking. Overall very flexible and caring prof, would definitely take a class with him again.

Lectures were a bit dry but overall an easy course. Prof is pretty easy going and not a hard marker at all. Perhaps he took notice of how people were saying he wasn't a fair marker? Don't be so hard on him :-(

Prof Cinnamon is a great prof and adapted well to the online format. He recorded his labs and lectures so you could them each on your own time. The labs were basically tutorials on how to do the assignments exactly how he wanted it. If you can follow a youtube tutorial you can ace this class. I am taking another class with him this semester.

Teansy bit dry and robotic, but overall a good professor.

Class was fun and actually learned lots of content through his online lectures and labs. It was a great experience and a good transition between videos and independence which allowed to me at the end do the labs without as much instruction. He would have got a 5 but the marking scheme seemed precise but the feedback was vague.

Dr. Cinnamon had to adapt this class to be online and he did a really great job. Most lectures were pre-recorded powerpoint presentations that were easy to follow and basically felt like I was in class. Once a month we had live lectures so we could ask questions directly. Overall wonderful time, though he has no sense of humour. Labs were enjoyable

An on-line credit course for me. Good teacher. The lectures and reading materials were geared towards learning something new. Easy course if you paid attention to the lectures and reading materials. I would recommend the taking classes with him.

Hes a cool guy but hes challenging. Testing are all MC and the assignments are the labs put together into one. Pretty interesting class other than that.

Overall Professor Cinnamon is not bad at all. Ignore the harsh comments about him. I would have rated him 5 points if the lectures were synchronous. He is not a very tough grader, gives good feedback on assignments, and the tests were all MC.
