Ronald Vogel

He is a super straightforwards prof with fair grading and marking criteria. Nothing comes unexpected or catches you off guard really. Lectures can be boring at times but it is very possible to finish with a high grade.

He's very knowledge and is good at teaching but sometimes he can get a little distracted while talking. This course is heavy on participation as there is a weekly activity at the end of each lecture and missing some classes can get you a little behind but his exams are simple.

Dr. Vogel is a very knowledgable professor who explains concepts clearly. 20% of the grade is the weekly group activity for participation and the other 80% is 2 exams with multiple choice and short answer. The exams are pretty simple. The only downside to him is that he has a habit of trailing off thoughts with very quiet speech.

I took POG443 with him and you can tell he's very passionate about the topic, but its undermined by how quiet and monotone he is when teaching and lectures are kind of pointless. 80% of your grade comes from weekly assignments (1-2 pages per assignment) and then the other 20% is from the final exam which is take home, so its weighted really nice.
