I will not take any course with her again.

People are being a little harsh. I agree I found the professor to be slightly backhanded or rude through online communication, and her grading is difficult, BUT not unfair. Was I surprised by how much work I had to put into this asynchronous course? Yes. Is it a 900 level course though? Also yes. Put the work in and you'll be fine.

This prof marks very poorly for discussion posts, even though there isn't any strict rubric. I find that a lot of her feedback is very negative and slightly rude. I wish I had dropped this course sooner.

This professor marks very poorly for participation (discussion posts) even though there isn't much of a strict rubric. you can't really make any small mistakes because marks will drop significantly. i find that her feedback can sometimes be very mean

Regret not dropping out when I had the chance

Maria is a very confusing professor. She is late to every single class, refuses to admit when she is wrong, and you can tell by the lectures that she doesn't actually know what she is talking about and is just reading off of the slides. Her assignment feedback is unhelpful and unspecific, and her grading is extremely harsh.

I had Maria last semester and I honestly enjoyed her. She is definitely a hard marker and comes off as passive aggressive which I guess people didn't really like. Overall lectures were not really mandatory unless we had the reflection which was easy but still marked very hard. Midterm and final were really easy as well.

Either she really changed up her style this year or the people posting these didn't try …. it truly was fine. She is definitely a bit blunt esp compared to other profs in the program but it is nothing to merit her rating. I'm glad I took her class & I learnt a lot, if you get her don't be afraid lol just put effort in

This professor is somewhat of a mess, her modules are often large word salads that can be boiled down to two or three sentences of actual useful content. While the topics discussed are relatively easy and common sense, Maria's teaching methods or lack thereof are the main part everybody dislikes this class, she gives less clarity than a fog machine
