I didnt mind the professor, but i understand why some people didnt like him. we had a cheat sheet which made the final exam easy. make sure you go for classes even if it;s just for the participation marks. I only went for those reasons. the material is a lor though, so start studying earlier
DO NOT TAKE!!!!!! My group 4 out of 5 dropped the class.
hes actually a nice guy, the content is hard tho, tips: get a smart person in ur group reports, in class quizzes u will fail dont try, midterm was bad for me but i locked in on final,
If you love psych, you'll love this course. If you love rereading chapters and breaking things down conceptually, you'll also love this course. If you love rewatching Remember The Titans, you will definitely love this course. But if you don't, you WILL struggle. If you free ride, you WILL struggle. He's really funny, but the difficulty is no joke.
For a first year student, it's very content heavy and abstract stuff. Midterm+final are very application based, so make your cheat sheet accordingly. He himself isn't a bad prof at all, he definitely knows his stuff. In-class quizzes feel designed to fail IMO, don't expect to get 100 on every one. Also get ready to watch remember the titans lmao
Honestly, he is not a bad guy, but MHR405 is a very content-heavy course, especially for a first-year student. My best piece of advice is to use the cheat sheet for APPLICATION OF CONCEPTS because his midterms were not about definitions.
honestly, js switch. I had to take him so my schedule aligns. worst academic decision of my life. whatever u do in class ull get below a 50 from quizzes at the end of every class that are basically impossible to do well on. group assignments every week throughout the course. Exams are worded horribly. pls switch
doesn't give enough time for any work drop this class
his final was worded so weirdly which definitely made it harder for no reason. idk why he did that it it's not even about the material not being understood or studied-he probably wanted to bring the class average down because the content itself should not be hard but he made it hard. the end class quizzes were hard too.
Entire lecture is based on textbook content that he forces you to read before class so paying attention to the lecture is pretty much useless. Has quizzes at the end of every class that are basically impossible to do well on. Group assignments every week throughout the course. Exams are worded horribly and have frequent typos.
