Na Yu

You can tell she's good at math and she's very attentive. If you ask her questions she will explain them well to you. However, the exams are really hard. You should aim to do the homework and also go over the lecture problems on your own to make sure you get a good grade.

Yu is generally a goof prof when making sure to answer everyone's questions. Sometimes she would go too slow and the 3 hour lectures in the cineplex were very difficult to get though. She gives very minimal practice problems. Her slides were very easy to follow and pleasing to look at. She messed up some labs by gave us the wrong material to cover.

Dr. Yu is one of the best first year science professor at TMU. She teaches in a way that is very easy to understand and gives lecture question very similar to her slideshows. She always takes her time to teach things so that everyone understands. Please do the homework and the practice midterm/final she posts and you will be good iA.

I don't know how she has such a high rating, but her accent makes her difficult to understand. She backtracks 5-10 times per question, so you'll hear "oops" 1000 times a lecture. Exams are too long, too hard for what they do in labs, and weigh way too much (considering 12 other quizzes and 6 assignments). Also, who schedules exams on Sunday? Like?

Could not understand anything she was doing in lectures. She would solve a problem, do all the steps, then erase it all before you could even glance at it. She would drag out really simple lessons this way and overcomplicate them. The midterm was the biggest joke ever, the way it had questions on it that were never covered in any lecture.

Genuinely an opp, she doesn't wanna help, and when u email for help, she will write genuine nonsense. Try to avoid if u can

Idk what she saying half the time and she doesn't want to help students she just wants to go home and play with her dogs. Emails dont even make sense I can't lie

Such a great prof! Her slides and examples are very easy to follow; whenever she references other content she always leaves a note to where you can find and learn it. I didn't take calc in high school and she teaches assuming you didn't by "dumbing down" the content/explanation, which is good thing!

Loved her class! Supported me when an unexpected personal issue happened and wasn't able to participate. Her lectures are clear and she explained the material well.

I really liked Dr.Yu! Her lectures were great, she posted her notes, and was always open to clear up any issues. The exams are so bad though (like really bad), but she doesn't make them as she is not the course coordinator. Overall, she was great! But be aware of the exams, cause they r nothing like what we are taught, (NOT Yu's fault though!!!)
