SWITCH OUT OF HER CLASS! She is the only professor that does this. Imagine attending class in the morning, mandatory attendance every week, groups formed by 2nd week, each week you must read the whole chapter in class, create a powerpoint, and present it at the end of class. Instructions are unclear, makes up rules compared to other BUS800 profs.

For someone who claims to be chair of the dept and has been teaching this for years, extremely unorganized. Although the course itself is set up this way,I feel that she was very unclear with what she wanted. Marking was also terrible (had to actively get her to reread our submission to give us our deserved marks).Take this course with another prof

The course itself is very disorganized. She's a slow grader (had to chase her for a component for a final report) and much of the course is based on group work. There's an open book exam and comprehensive midterm - both fairly easy. Choose a good group for BUS - the reports and assignments are extensive and you need people on top of their work.

I was nervous about taking this class, but Kim made it easy to follow along and was pretty easy concerning deadlines. Although the lectures were quite short, she ensured we had ample time to work with our groups and listen to us when we had feedback.

Professor Bates is a nice person but a really bad professor. The course is ridiculously unorganized and has numerous examples of simply incorrect information. In our 3 hour class we have a weekly quiz, lecture, group project, and individual project due every class. If its mandatory, take BUS with another prof.

Honestly don't know why she has such a low rating, she is hands down one of the best profs and easiest marker for BUS800.

She's a pretty solid teacher and a fair marker, as long as you show up to class and listen to her feedback you should be fine.

A very awful experience. Very slow email response. Disorganized class and taking forever to grade assignments. Forgot to grade our presentation and gave incorrect final grades. It took several days to convince her to correct the mistakes. Wouldn't recommend.

A decent prof, rated high because professor Bates doesn't deserve such a low rating and there are worse BUS800 profs (<3). Always responded to my emails when I needed help and was nice. Fair marker
