The class is easy to follow with concise, well-organized presentations. However, grading is handled by TAs, who are students themselves, leading to issues. It would be beneficial if the instructor graded and discussed individual student performance directly. Despite having fewer than 100 students, there are two TAs, which seems unnecessary.

He actually cares about his students! Best Prof ever!!

His midterms are quite difficult as he is too lazy to create multiple choice exams and instead chooses to make his midterms exclusively True or False and short answer. Doesn't write his own lecture slides and copies walls of text from legislation (get ready to memorize) and expects you to write answers from his slides verbatim for the short answer.

He is an amazing prof! Just get ready for his written midterms or finals!!

I took this course last year, but Professor Fatih Sekercioglu is one of the best professors I have ever had, and I hope that I have in the future! The tests were based on the lectures, and he responds quickly to emails. Overall, great professor!!

His grading seems really weird, just completely misses parts of essays and saying that they were not included at all. He also just reads slides in lecture 1 to 1

Literally don’t know why his ratings are so high. He literally skims through his lectures and reads off the slides. His assignments are so long and repetitive.

He teaches most of the courses in the public health stream at the same time and they are structured similarly. Make sure to focus on the term assignment as it is worth a big chunk of the work and requires a lot of time. If you follow the instructions, you will easily get good grades. Oh and make sure to pay close attention to references.

Fatih is one of the most nicest and caring profs ever. The mark breakdown for the class was very fair, but make sure you do the term paper a head of time since it is time consuming. Do exactly as he says and you will easily pass this class (he and his TA's are strict on references and citations so be sure to focus on that).
