Honestly he's one of the best in the department. He's the type of prof where if you make an effort and meet him halfway, he'll go above and beyond, just be respectful. One thing is if you don't show up to lectures you'll have a hard time as he doesn't post filled in notes, so you gotta show up and put in the work. But if you do, easy A+.
This course is tough, but he makes it easier to understand. Attendance is required if you want iClicker points, but it's fine if you miss class. The lectures can be intense, but as long as you pay attention and understand what he's saying, you'll be fine.
One of the better profs for PCS211. He's very monotone, but explains lecture material very well and is always open to answering questions.
Dr. Tanguay is alright. He's probably the best physics prof but still average. He's knowledgeable but also pretty monotone and his lectures are quite boring. iclickers are a good way to get some marks because the exams are brutal.
He is a mid prof not the best prof ever but certainly the best available for PCS 211, Great simple slides, but he doesn't post the annotated versions, lots of iclickers with the questions being displayed in the app for you, good if your not in the class.
The best profs in the physics department, just be respectful and ask questions, he will appreciate you! He also teaches really well if you just pay attention.
mid, if possible switch to omar. omar leaks all the exam qs so if u dont have him, go to his final lectures anyway or ask a friend from his class. Anyways jesse doesn't post much of his notes so u must attend lectures and he doesn't reply to emails either lmao. he's a very nice guy tho and actually cares abt his students
I thought he'd be great based off the reviews but no his voice is so monotone that 10 mins into the lec i have no clue wtf hes saying, his examples are okay, he goes over things but is very surface level which is good to have a basic understanding but not good enough to do well on the exams themselves and actually develop problem solving skills
Super nice and easy to follow lectures. Kind of non-chalant but gets to the point and answers questions thoroughly. He doesn't know a lot about the exam breakdown and he's not chronically online (good luck reaching out).
Jesse is a really good professor. His lectures, although his voice is very monotonous, are informative and helpful. The only reason I give 4/5 and say class is mandatory is because he does not post notes, just the empty slideshows. If you want solutions to the questions on the slideshows and actual explanations you have to attend the lectures.
