Nice variety of assignments that allowed students to cover different forms of art. She facilitates great conversations and never appears standoffish. I would absolutely recommend taking this course with her if writing about the arts is something you're interested in.

Building a Brand with Professor Carly Lewis was a practical and engaging course. The use of real world examples and guest speakers made the material relevant and clear. The online format moved quickly, but the content was valuable. Would highly recommend her course!

She's a great professor who really cares about her students. She does a great job at creating an approachable environment for students to participate, something I feel really matters in a critical and opinion writing class. Carly has to be one of the best professors I've had. She is very caring, understanding, and flexible, and she gives very good feedback. I had her for JRN508, and the feedback she gave me made me a better writer. She isn't a hard marker as long as you put in the effort. Please get a course with her if you can.

Carly's class was one of my favourite that I took at TMU. I liked having multiple smaller assignments which covered different arts. Carly is also very caring, gives good feedback and is really open to answering questions. It's a participation heavy class, which I really liked. If you have a chance to take Carly's class I would really recommend it!

I had Carly for JRN 500 and she was a great instructor! Her lectures were very compelling and informative and featured insightful guests. The assignments were at times demanding, but Carly was always available to answer questions and provide helpful assistance. She was kind and caring, and a great teacher to learn from!
