Dr. Scribe is a tough marker who expects real effort, but she truly cares about the work and pushes you to think critically. Many students downplay her because they can't handle honest feedback. If you value depth and want to grow, she's the professor for you.
VERY tough grader and gives very vague feedback. took this thinking it would be an easier class but its a lot. she also literally tried to gatekeep her lectures. she gets mad when people don't come to class but her class is boring. don't take this class, she's nice i guess but annoying. she thinks she's doing groundbreaking work but she's not.
Currently have this professor and it's been a very challenging experience. Assignments are okay, although classes aren't mandatory if you don't go you'll be completely lost. Lots of class discussions are on the assignments and exams, .The exam is a huge essay where you have to create a works cited page by hand which is a first for me.
I really liked Dr. Scribe. She was caring and considerate towards students. Her lectures were entertaining as they were not traditional and allowed for lots of discussion. Her assignments were fun and I actually feel like I left the course with new knowledge. She grades a bit hard, but I think it is pretty fair.
Dr. Scribe was amazing at introducing us to the content of the course in an easy to understand way. She frequently had class discussions & it was interesting to hear other student's perspectives & experiences with the topics discussed. Very, very nice person too & takes the time to give valuable feedback on written assignments. Highly recommend!
Best class I've taken!! It's more seminar-based so you're able to really connect with the prof and your classmates. Midterm is super easy as long as you go to class and one of the final assignments is a 10-minute presentation.
This course was incredible and all credit belongs to Dr. Scribe. Her classes incorporate creative activities alongside lectures to make the (often difficult) material from readings comprehensible and understandable. Her assignments can be difficult but also pretty fun. She's super accommodating and overall a fantastic prof.
course soc350. Extremely vague and lacking assignment guidelines. Professor released essay rubric less than two days before the essay was due when the assignment had been out for weeks. This course felt extremely disorganized and unfortunately took away from the content.
10/10 recommend Dr. Scribe! Caring passionate and full of life!
