This is an amazing class. Kim leads the Children's Media Lab at TMU and we got current, Canadian research in the class from her work there. Plus, she comes from industry so she really understands how to talk about academic topics in a real work way. Guests were amazing. She is fun and supportive and the best. Highly recommend.
Clearly shows love and compassionate towards the content she provides, but she hopes to inspire those looking into getting children's media.
Kim is an inspiring prof. Her insight and knowledge into the children's entertainment industry is very insightful, and she always takes the time to explain something when you don't understand it. Very approachable and encourages you to ask questions. Fair and clear grading criteria - if you come to class and do the work you'll get a good mark.
Great prof! she is informative and really cares about her students, made the class engaging which made me love to attend every week! Has good connections in the industry with weekly guest speakers. This class and prof made me want to get into the children's film industry.
Kim is an amazing professor who loves what she does and wants to share her ideas and experiences with the class. She's an amazing connection to have in the industry and loves bringing in guest speakers to apply our in-class lectures!
Being from the industry and not from academia, Kim has so much knowledge that you won't get from other profs. She gives you so much practical advice about the industry (do's, don't's) and her guest lectures are amazing due to her connections. Her teaching style is relaxed and engaging. She's truly the best. One group project production and a quiz.
