Take her class if you are actually passionate about social innovation. Otherwise you will be bored and struggle to connect with her essays. Overall Eliza is a really good professor.
I appreciated Eliza clear and accessible lecture content. Feedback from assignments were thoughtful and challenged me to improve my writing. She responds quickly to emails. Eliza is passionate about social innovation and teaching. I enjoyed this course!
Chandler is a very sweet and accommodating prof. This class may be tough if you do not have any background knowledge on disability studies. The papers were marked fairly. Participation is worth 10% but if you don't like talking you can make a discussion post instead.
Eliza is very supportive and makes sure you feel confident in your work. She really knows the ins and outs of what she's teaching but also is open to further dialogue and perspectives. There can be a lot of reading, but she mixes up the mediums so that it's not just journal articles. An engaging course and an engaging professor.
Eliza is one of my favourite professors in the School of Disability Studies. Very accessible, accommodating, caring, wonderful and very lovely. She really supported me alot this semester and last year. Thanks Eliza!
Eliza is one of the best professors in Disability Studies. She is so respectful and caring of students' needs. Her marking is tough but you learn a lot from her and she provides good feedback. The exam in the course was the most difficult part of the class.
Professor Chandler rocks. She's so good at helping those of us without any exposure to disability justice to dig in and start learning! Highly recommend, you'll learn a lot about how our culture approaches disability and how people have fought back.
