Dan Mahoney

Good professor. He just reads from his slides and goes into depth, but if you learn best by listening, just showing there will save you SO much time from studying on your own time. I did well in this course even though I hardly studied on my own time—I just listened and took notes to review and did the weekly readings. He's a fair marker.

Professor Mahoney is wonderful! He does a great job at explaining the material, tells you what readings to focus on prior to the exams, and is a wonderful marker. If you miss a class it isn't hard to catch up to what you've missed, especially since his slides are pretty straight forward.

Professor Mahoney is the sweetest! He tells you exactly what readings to focus on before both the the exams, his slides are straight forward, and the material is generally comprehendible. He does a great job at explaining and adds information that is helps grasp the concepts. He is a wonderful marker and does a great job at answering questions.

He isnt too bad, just boring tbh. His lectures, he reads off the slides, so you dont have to go to class. The midterm was not too bad, but i will say he is not very understanding or flexible. I also found him dismissive, and slightly unhelpful when asking questions in person. Overall hes mid, this is my open elective, id prob not take him again

no textbooks, he posts readings on D2L library. hes honestly rly sweet and understanding and open to people's ideas. as long as u do the readings and go over the slides u should be fine. overall he's a nice and understanding prof

course content is pretty easy but make sure ur on top of ur readings bc it can all pile up pretty fast. he is genuinely so sweet and u can tell how passionate he is ab the topic. One thing i would say is that he does have an issue with time management during his lecs bc he can ramble a bit, so he tends to talk very fast near the end of every lec.

Some of yall are haters bruh he's such a sweet prof and his exams are so easy if you STUDY AND READ THE READINGS which clearly some of yall dont do and then come on here to complain about him being 'bad' get your study up not ur funny

Almost no idea what your grade is until you are already done the final exam. Dan is not tech savy - he got upset at us for not telling him (over zoom) he was offline - seriously... He sets up about 6 times the dropboxes for assignments on D2L, and if you pick the wrong one he wont mark the assignment. Lazy, and 0 helpful feedback all year.

Never gives proper feedback and his marking is confusing. Very inconsiderate and lectures are incredibly boring

Dan is super easy-going and a nice, happy dude. You do not need to come to his class, as he reads off the slides. Assignments are pretty easy and criteria is clear. If you are looking for an easy course that you can work at home FNF100 is for you.
