Talks a lotttt but he means well. He's a pretty fair marker. Midterms and finals are pretty easy
One of the greatest professors to teach a class. I had his class at 8am and it never felt easier to go to an 8am. He is very repetitive with information, but everything he says is very valuable. This professor will set you up for success in your career journey and is honestly a support system. We need more people like prof Alex. The G.O.A.T
Great guy, but holy yapping. Each 3-hour lecture is about 45min actual content and 2hr15 of random anecdotes. Often repeats random statements about AI and non-course related information... have to teach yourself a lot. Means very well and is giving these anecdotes for our future careers, but for anyone with a tight schedule, it can be frustrating.
Explains the material put on exams and wants you to succeed, the issues I had were I taught the course myself through the textbook because he's not the most engaging prof and lectures got really boring, sometimes he would also repeat the same concepts from last week. Also didn't like how you had to attend every time because of the weekly quizzes.
He explains all key concepts clearly in class, and the exams closely reflect what's covered in lectures. He's responsive to emails, available after class, and truly cares about his students' success. Metrics are easy as long as you practice them. I learned a lot and genuinely looked forward to his classes as he keeps them fun and interesting!
Wasn't that bad of a course. Math was easy, though there are a lot of concepts to memorize. However, the midterm and exams was actually fun to do.
great and solid professor, bad ratings probably from old students/students who received bad grades
Amazing prof, helps you as much as he can, covers all the concepts in class, exams are mainly what he covered and not that much more difficult than what he went over in lectures, responds to emails, helps you after class, overall just a good professor who wants his students to genuinely succeed. If you can, you should 100% take him!
Out of all the courses I took during these 3 years this is the second professor who is actually a real teacher and help you in your study, he teaches everything. And gives you a lot of tips during semester from the actual lectures to exams and study tips. There is no possible way to get a bad grades with him.
Honestly, it was just more of basic understanding, metrics was easy to do, formula sheet was given. Honestly not much to say, other then that if you attend the lectures and zoom lectures on topics for study on midterm and finals, you will be fine, just use the slides and your good.
